Frequently Asked Questions
What is telehealth/telerehabilitation?
Telerehabilitation is the use of information or communication technologies to allow you and your physiotherapist or kinesiologist to connect via telephone, video or other remote monitoring technology to receive physiotherapy/kinesiology services at a distance when an in-person visit is not possible.
Is telehealth/telerehabilitation right for me?
That depends on what your goals are and is different for each person. We are more than happy to talk with you on the phone to discuss what you would like to achieve and decide whether or not telerehabilitation is right for you.

What can I expect during a session?
In the initial assessment the therapist will ask you to move your limbs and body in certain ways to determine your current status. Following the initial assessment, the therapist will provide you with education on your injury/goal, a management plan, and provide you with exercises. The therapist will go through the exercises with you to ensure that you are performing them properly. In subsequent appointments, the therapist will keep track of your progression and make adjustments (add or modify exercises) as necessary.
How are the virtual sessions conducted?
First, we will have a phone conversation so that you can share any important information about yourself and we can discuss your goals. Following that, we will arrange an initial assessment over the Zoom Video platform. All subsequent appointments will be conducted over Zoom Video.
What if there are technical difficulties/I am not that good with technology?
No need to worry. The first session is free and will be used to sort out any technical difficulties. We will make sure that you are comfortable with the platform before proceeding.
How secure is the online platform?
We do our best to make sure that any information you give to us during virtual sessions is private and secure, but no video or audio tools are ever completely secure. In view of this, we have taken every precaution to use only the tools that are compliant with the government's requirements. To read more about our privacy policy, please click here.
