Frequently Asked Questions

My parent just had surgery, how can your therapy help them recover?

We can help prevent declines in function related to bed rest with therapy and treatment e.g. increase their range of motion (ROM) around joints, strength and stamina.

My parent has suffered from a stroke, how can your treatment program help?

Often, stroke patients will experience hemiparesis (weakness of one side of the body). We can help them regain strength on the affected side and move their affected limbs through therapy.

Do I need a physiotherapist or kinesiologist? What's the difference?

It depends on your condition. A kinesiologist is a movement specialist who implements programs to promote physical mobility and health. A physiotherapist has advanced training in assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. This means they are able to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal diseases and impairments to promote well being.

Do we need a doctor's referral to get treatment?

No, you don't. However, your insurance company might require a doctor’s referral.

Will you speak to our doctor and discuss about the treatment?

Yes, with your permission we can discuss your treatment with your doctor.

Can I claim these services under MSP or extended health coverage?

Yes, however the amount and healthcare covered will depend on your MSP or extended health coverage. We encourage you to call and ask your insurance provider.

How can I pay for treatment?

You can pay us by cash, cheque, e-transfer, Mastercard or Visa, typically at the end of the month.
